Bindings are solid & hinges are UNCRACKED! Leather retains a rich patina and shine~ NOT dried out! Volumes are free from any chips, with the exception of the headcap on volume VII, which has a very small nick. Moisture issues to volumes III & IV as follows: boards slightly warped (vol IV), moisture marks on boards & front few & rear few pages (pretty much confined to endpapers). Text is otherwise VERY CLEAN in all volumes. Please refer to photos provided.  Hand-written letter by Thackeray tipped in to the front of Volume I.
