COMPLETE ERB BEASTS OF TARZAN IN 5 ALL-STORY 1914' Description Here it is collectors-the complete 5 part Edgar Rice Burroughs' "BEASTS OF TARZAN" in 5 issues of 1914 All-Story Cavalier Weekly. An extremely rare group and the first cover featured issue is known to bring as much as $1500 in nice shape. The bad news is that three of the five have a cloth filament tape on the spine-BUT: The GOOD NEWS is that since the tape is not cellophane glue-backed, I don't see tape staining underneath. More good news-tape appears dry and has lifted in areas and with some judicious steaming or tape removal the condition of these issues may be appreciably improved. More good news-the tape has had the affect of protecting the spine paper which is pretty much complete on all issues but for maybe a 1/4 inch or so on the heels and the spines are unfaded. Overall paper on these issues is dark tan but supple. Particular conditions follow: #1 Overall vg with filament tape and cover chips you can see in the scan and an edge waterstain that affects glossy ad pages. #2 a vg copy-no filament tape, pc out cover and glossy ad pages as in the scan. #3 vg-no filament tape-nice solid copy. #4 fa+ Famous Samurai cover-filament tape, waterstained covers affecting glossy ad pages. #5  filament tape, overall g+. So there you have it-not a high grade set-but set with a very reasonable BIN and you get a complete early ERB story in one fell swoop!
