Description

First edition, Octavo, Hardcover, boards & cloth in dust jacket. A fine copy in a near fine dust jacket. The author's second published and now-classic vampire novel (after "Carrie"). Filmed in 1979 for television, directed by Tobe Hooper and starring David Soul. Filmed again for TV in 2004, starring Rob Lowe and Donald Sutherland. SIGNED by King on the front flyleaf with a unique inscription: "For Ed - All best--and remember: they only come out at night! Stephen King. 8/22/80." Jacket is second state, with "Father Cody" in the summary text at the front flap, and a price of $7.95 to the top of same. Jacket is very sharp, with only a small, shallow crease to the crown. A collector's copy of King's second book, with a fabulous early inscription.
