Line border decoration to the front and rear boards. Title and author at spine remains bright and fresh. Some minor wear to the head and toe of spine. Beautiful gilt work border to the inside front and rear boards remains fresh. This beautiful book is housed in a clam shell. Leather title to the backstrip of the clam shell remains with some rubbing. Everything being said volume remains much better than average. A fantastic find for the collector or anyone interested in this subject matter. Not common. We believe this tome to be unique or produced in a very small number. He was the 32nd or 33rd King of Portugal depending where you look.The family remains in Portugal to this day. Currently, The Head of the Portuguese Royal House, Dom Duarte Pio João Miguel Gabriel Rafael de Bragança is son of the Dukes of Bragança, Dom Duarte Nuno, grandson of D. Miguel I and  Maria Francisca de Orleans and Bragança, Brazilian Princess, trineta of D. Peter IV.
