Paris: Edouard Vert, imprimeur, 29, Rue Notre-Dame-de-Nazareth. Text in French. Interior remains tight, clean and complete. Pages with minor toning remain much better than average. Full leather exterior with minor wear and scuffing. The corners remain much better than average.  Gilt Crest of the Royal family of Portugal to both front and rear boards. Line border decoration to the front and rear boards. Title and author at spine remains bright and fresh. Some minor wear to the head and toe of spine. Beautiful gilt work border to the inside front and rear boards remains fresh. This beautiful book is housed in a clam shell. Leather title to the backstrip of the clam shell remains with some rubbing. Everything being said volume remains much better than average. A fantastic find for the collector or anyone interested in this subject matter. Not common. We believe this tome to be unique or produced in a very small number. As of this listing we have been unable to locate another copy of this title listed via the internet. We have been unable to locate any reference to this title listed via the internet. In using Americana Exchange we searched more than 1,916,004 Records to include auctions and catalogs to no avail. OCLC located 0 copies worldwide. 8.50 by 5.50 inches. It is our opinion that this book was commissioned by Luis 1 of Portugal, during the early years of his Reign which ran from 1861 and 1889. He was the 32nd or 33rd King of Portugal depending where you look.The family remains in Portugal to this day. Currently, The Head of the Portuguese Royal House, Dom Duarte Pio João Miguel Gabriel Rafael de Bragança is son of the Dukes of Bragança, Dom Duarte Nuno, grandson of D. Miguel I and  Maria Francisca de Orleans and Bragança, Brazilian Princess, trineta of D. Peter IV. Because of the Law and the Banishment Dom Duarte was born exiled in Switzerland, but in Portuguese territory: in the Embassy of Portugal in Bern, the 15 of May of 1945.
