This is Volume 2 only, dealing with Beltrami's search for the source of the Mississippi. There is a full map folded up next to the title page. In Two Volumes, Vol. II Quarter leather and leather corners with marbled boards and gilt lettering and decorations on spine, back board is mostly detached, but held to the book by twine that looks like part of the interior binding, front board in better shape, though the hinges seem to be split, bottom inch of leather on spine is worn away, top spine shows some wear too, front and back boards show a lot of scuffing. Pretty good for a 180 year old book, also the other few copies available online are ex-library or have been rebound. This may be the only copy available in the original binding.
